Interview by Batiweb
Your position in relation to the show. Why exhibit at EquipBaie?
It really is the place for the industry to meet, everyone working in windows, doors and closures. It is an unmissable event for us because it lets us meet customers and decision-makers, to show our new products etc. We have exhibited at this show since 1994: that was an important date for us because it was the year we presented the very first K-Line window. Today we are the leading manufacturer of aluminium window frames in France. In my view, this show fits nicely alongside Batimat which is geared more to regulatory aspects while Equipbaie truly touches the core of our business.
Are you a regular at the show? Have you been to every one?
I must confess we “played away” in 1998 and 2000. But we came back in 2002, inspired by Dominique Tarin, the show Director, who injected new life into the show and turned it into a key diary date for the trade.
Why do you exhibit here? Is it also to meet the other exhibitors?
Mainly to showcase our new and existing product ranges. But also to meet customers, prospective customers etc. It’s the ideal opportunity to mingle with the trade as a whole. We’re going to present three key innovations in working with new construction methods. Of course, the show is also a way of meeting the other exhibitors, but that's not the priority. We all have our new products to exhibit. But of course, it’s an opportunity to swap ideas and information, even if we are competitors. And of course it's a barometer for the economy as a whole.
